 After a trial period, Google has announced the final version of Android L, the Latest version of the most popular mobile platform in the world. Lollipop Android 5.0 is coming in three new Nexus devices - the smartphone Nexus 6, 9 tablet Nexus and Nexus Player streaming media device - and will be available in the Manay Nexus  devices in the coming weeks.

New Lollipop most obvious features come in the form of visual improvements and changes to the user interface, which Google has called design materials. The platform features new animations smoother, cleaner design with a bolder palette of colors, a menu multittasking renovated and offers new ways to interact with your voice. Many of the design features of the material can be seen in the recent changes that Google has released their own applications for Android, and Google+. The material design initiative is intended to unify the look and feel of the software across different form factors, whether tablet, smartphone, media streamer of your home, or somewhat else.


In addition to a visual check, Lollipop brings over 5,000 new APIs for developers to control and allows multiple Android devices with several different form factors to work better together. Google says things such as music, photos, applications, and recent searches can be synchronized seamlessly across multiple Android devices. Lollipop also includes new controls to limit notification alerts during meetings and other times, a new battery saving mode you can earn 90 minutes of life between charges, multiple user accounts, guest user types, and new ways of securing your device via Bluetooth trusted connections. Lollipop also include a protection reset the phone to factory defaults, which is designed to make it hard for thieves to use a phone stolen device. Many of these features have been applied by various manufacturers of Android devices on their smartphones and tablets for some time, but now Google is making sure they are portion of the core Android experience.

Lollipop Android 5.0 is a major release of Google - is the most significant visual updating Android from 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was launched in 2011 and provides the basis for Android as a platform to grow beyond smartphones and tablets. Google is pushing Android clearly and software for the future, and wants to be in every Android device we interact with online. Lollipop is the first step to get there.
